Grow a forest, one book at a time.
Book-E-Kids is a reading app for children aged 6 to 11. Every book a child adds plants a tree in their own private forest: starting a book plants a seedling, finishing it grows the tree, and reading it again makes it blossom. Nothing wilts, nothing is scored, and no one is ranked.
Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
How it works for children
A child picks their own profile, adds the book in their hands, and keeps a simple reading log. The forest does the rest.
- Add a book by scanning its barcode, searching, or typing its name.
- Keep a simple reading log: start, take a break, keep reading, finish.
- Watch the forest grow, and pick its look: meadow, autumn, night, or snow.
- Every forest also has a list view, so it works with screen readers.
What parents get
Grown-ups own the family account. Children get profiles, never accounts, and a password gate keeps the grown-up area closed.
- You own the family account; children are profiles, never accounts.
- A password gate protects settings, groups, export, and deletion.
- Create private reading groups with families you know, by invite code only.
- Set a cooperative goal for the group. Everyone reads toward one number.
- Export everything as a file or delete the family at any time.
What we never do
The forest is private and it only ever grows. There is nothing to lose, nothing to buy, and no one to compare against.
- No ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking, no public profiles.
- No messaging between children, no leaderboards, no streaks to lose.
- Camera images stay on the device; only the confirmed book is saved.
